The pyramid before the Sea of Sand was finished. The newspaper boxes have been attached at the outside of the structure, birches permeate the walls of the pyramid. Thek's pyramids were inspired by "the monumental architecture (he) had seen in Egypt in 1970. The Pyramid of newspapers (...) was Thek's Temple of Time". (Philadelphia, 1977). In Lucerne "the pyramid was painted blue like the dome of heaven. Trees bursting through the walls of the Pyramid pushed the building blocks of civilization into the sands of time as inorganic architecture was made to quiver with nature's life." (Philadelphia, 1977). For the work of art © The Estate of George Paul Thek, New York. For the photography © the photographer. Foto: Edwin Klein.
