The so-called "sky room" (Franke, 1993) was equipped by a deer and lit by three candles. The image shows a sofa where visitors could lie down. The sofa and all chairs in the exhibition could be used by the visitors, Thek wanted people to rest in his rooms. The stag came into play at the Stockholm exhibition the first time, where it was placed in a boat created by Ann Wilson. The stag in the boat is described as "a symbol of solitude and cyclic renewal, was carried by the Ark through the Sea of Sand, or time. At Documenta votive candles seemed to correspond to the heavenly constellations actually visible in the sky." (Philadelphia, 1977). „The stag, born by the boat in Stockholm and at Documenta, reached ground at Lucerne. Franz Deckwitz painted the mural of clouds and sky which formed a backdrop against which the stag stood in splendid solitude." (Philadelphia, 1977).
